Arrive in Istanbul. Familiarize yourself with your fellow travellers before meeting your guide. Be ready to go on a guided city tour. You will see all the famous landmarks of this mysterious city – from the 13th century Galata Tower to Blue Mosque Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar, the biggest covered market in the world with a whopping three thousand shops, you will have your fill of beautiful sights and sounds. Istanbul is an eclectic mix of ancient and modern so much so that it is hard to tell which you like better. The markets are full of life and flavour and not surprisingly Istanbul has become the backdrop of many movies. The trams of Istanbul are an icon in themselves, the sight of which is best enjoyed over a cup of tea (unless you are riding in it of course). After, transfer to hotel for check-in. Good morning Istanbul. Watch the sunrise over this magnificent city as you sip your coffee and delight in a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or go exploring Istanbul’s famous landmarks! We assure you, you won’t have a minute of boredom here – beautiful mosques and souks, amazing tram rides, shopping and nightlife will keep you on your toes! Don’t forget to savour the delicious Adana kebabs or fish sandwich by the Bosphorus served straight from a boat! Of course, wash it all down with some apple tea or Kahwa, a national favourite. Don’t forget to buy a souvenir or two, especially the famous “evil eye”! If you are a fan of literature, check out Orhan Pamuk’s Museum of Innocence where the characters from the book of the same name, comes alive. In the evening, you can go on an Optional Tour which includes a cruise on Bosphorus (and dinner onboard).
